I have seen a lot of Portal recently. Mostly on the gameplay side, but everyone now and then someone makes a fan made film that makes you really wish it would get picked up as an actual movie. Usually you think the worst. When, if ever, has there been a good video game movie?

There is a glimmer of hope however. This recently made Portal short film is absolutely the best realization of the world of Portal. High production value, great effects, and a hell of a story told in a short amount of time. The only thing missing is GLaDos. I give an extreme amount of credit to the director and Totally Rad Show alum Dan Trachtenberg. It really is something to see. Even if you aren’t a big fan of the series, it’s worth watching.
